MARRIED
November 15, 2024

This is the only wedding that I thought to myself, 'I'm proud of today' as I walked to my car at the end of the long day. Now I know what you're thinking- Chandler, are you not proud of every wedding you're a part of? The answer is always yes, BUT this particular wedding will go down as one of the hardest and most stressful of my careers.
Let me set the scene for you: There are 2 huge surprises planned for this day, but one planned by the bride, Makayla, and the other by Sam's mom, Stacey. Each do not want the other to know, and want to remain inconspicuous about their actions. Let's also note that the bride requested specific photos omitting a person in the family who soon wouldn't be in the family, but this person didn't know that. The couple also chose to do a photo dash at the photo booth, which takes a minimum of 30 minutes. When I tell you I had the day planned down to the minute, I absolutely mean it. The photographer, Avery, and I had numerous calls leading up to the day as we pieced together how to fit the extensive family photos, the surprise hair cut and its later reveal, the photo dash, and a surprise getaway car into a seamless timeline flow. My stress levels were high going into this day. I was anticipating hiccups that we didn't have time for, and could consequently ruin one surprise or another. However, I can confidently say that all of the anxious anticipation never came into fruition on this wedding day.
This November day would not have run as seamlessly if it weren't for the specific vendors present. By the end of the night, we dubbed ourselves the Dream Team. I'd worked with every one of them before, so we were all very comfortable with each other, and knew how everyone operated. It is always so nice to work with familiar faces!
While I didn't write on the specifics of the wedding florals and decor in this post like I typically do, it doesn't mean they were anything short of spectacular. The emerald green color palette matched perfectly with the beautiful autumn day!
To be honest, I could write for days on Sam and Makayla's special day, but I'll spare you.
